Aretha Franklin accompanies herself on piano during a performance of “Evil Gal Blues” in 1964. “Evil Gal Blues” is a defiant gospel style song that appears on the album “Aretha Sings The Blues” featuring classic early Aretha from her Columbia Records days. She was singed to the company in 1960 by none other than legendary producer John Hammond.
