Memphis Slim is backed on guitar by Matt “Guitar” Murphy for the performance of his original song “I’m Lost Without You” while in Europe in 1963.

Memphis Slim added Matt “Guitar” Murphy to his group in 1954 and signed with United Records in Chicago shortly there after. He would remain with United through the end of 1954, when the company began spending less time recording the blues.
