Fernando Jones performs on the “Inside the Actors Studio” TV show during the late ’90s.

Born in Chicago in 1964 Fernando Jones began playing guitar at an early age inspired buy his older blues singing older brother and his cousin professional guitarist Lefty Dizz.

Developing a deep interest in the history of the blues he co-produced concerts while attending the University of Illinois, Chicago before his graduation in 1987.

During his multifaceted career Fernando has been a teacher and lectured extensively attached to the faculty at Columbia College, in the early 2000s.

Armed with the belief that the blues genre needs to continue to grow his repertoire, unlike that of his contemporaries, is comprised mainly of his own original compositions.

Fernando has also made frequent TV appearances and is the founder of Blues Kids of America, an organization designed to heighten children’s overall understanding of the blues.
