Buddy Guy is featured performing on the 1965 American Folk Blues Festival tour.
During the 1960s Buddy Guy was a session guitarist for Chess records. Of his early appearances on vinyl his most notable were on Howlin’ Wolf’s “Killing Floor” and “Wang Dang Doodle” as by Koko Taylor.
Guy’s first records were more along the lines of pop R&B than blues and none of them got the final approval for release. Finally in 1967 his first album “Left My Blues in San Francisco” was issued.
