A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tab Benoit has been playing the blues since his teenage years. He had the benefit of learning his craft from a list of local blues legends which include Raful Neal. In 1987 he formed his own trio and began playing clubs in his hometownand and has since performed with prominent artist like Debbie Davies, Charlie Musselwhite, and Kenny Neal. Tab is also the founder of ‘Voice of the Wetlands’ an organization promoting conservation of the rapidly receding costal wetlands of Louisiana.
