In 2009, electric bassist Marcus Miller toured with his Tutu Revisited band.
Miller collaborated with Miles Davis on the classic Tutu album in 1986 and has since then often performed some of his originals from the project.
For the 2009 tour, Miller was joined by trumpeter Christian Scott (who hints at Miles Davis without copying him too closely), altoist Alex Han, keyboardist Frederico Gonzalez Pena, and drummer Ronald Brun Jr.
On the assertive strut “Hannibal,” Scott takes an outstanding solo and Miller plays some rapid lines during the funky but creative performance.
