In the early-1980s, Jaco Pastorius (1951-87) toured with his Word Of Mouth ensemble and was particularly proud to have the masterful harmonica player Toots Thielemans in his group.
While he was the most innovative electric bassist of his era, Pastorius is seen playing piano on a 1985 duet version of his original “Three Views Of A Secret” in a duet with Thielemans.
The mutual respect and love that they had for each other is obvious throughout this unique performance of Pastorius’ ballad.
