A Night in Tunisia

The Roosevelt High School Jazz Band perform a hard-swinging rendition “A Night in Tunisia” at the 2012 Essentially Ellington Festival and Competition.

Essentially Ellington is an annual program in which fifteen of North America’s best high school jazz bands perform for a panel of judges. Occurring in May, the competition includes jam sessions, workshops, an awards ceremony, and a closing performance from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.
