Composed by Joseph Kosma and first recorded in 1945, “Autumn Leaves” was originally called, in French, “Les feuilles mortes,” or “The Dead Leaves.” It’s also received jazz covers by Chet Baker, Hazel Scott and Keith Jarrett.

In the ’80s Dizzy Gillespie discovered this artist, Cuba native Gonzalo Rubalcaba. Rubalcaba has collaborated with jazz great Pat Martino.
