After performing “Body and Soul” the song that she original sang to win that fateful singing contest at the Apollo in 1942 Sarah Vaughan introduces Billy Eckstine to join her in song.
Eckstine who was a member of Earl Hines’ band during the early ’40s recommended her to his boss, thus launching her career. Sarah hasn’t forgotten.
