A bit of a child prodigy, Taylor Eigsti started playing piano when he was four and released his first album when he was 14.

He has since outgrown the prodigy label to simply be considered a great jazz pianist, one who has led at least eight albums, been on over 50 as a sideman, appeared with many symphony orchestras (often playing his own compositions), and worked with such notables as Dave Brubeck, Joshua Redman, Julian Lage, Terence Blanchard, James Moody, Red Holloway, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ambrose Akimnusire, Nicholas Payton, Chris Potter, Joe Lovano to name just a few.

From May 14, 2016, Taylor Eigsti, along with bassist Harish Raghavan and drummer Eric Harland, come up with their own inventive reworking of “Caravan,” a version filled with close interplay and some surprising ideas.
