One of the great songwriters of all time, Antonio Carlos Jobim is featured singing and playing piano with an all-star jazz group comprised of tenor-saxophonist Joe Henderson, guitarist Pat Metheny, bassist Charlie Haden, and drummer Al Foster

“Desafinado” was one of Jobim’s most popular songs, thanks in part to the classic Stan Getz-Charlie Byrd recording in the early 1960s.

For this version, Jobim (who plays piano) sings the verse and then Joe Henderson (who had recently had great success with a recording of some of Jobim’s best songs) is well featured.
