Groovin High

Dizzy, Stan Getz and Chick Corea

Live at the White House

Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Miroslav Vitous, and Roy Haynes perform ‘Groovin High’ at the White House.

“Groovin High” was written by Dizzy Gillespie in 1945, and was released on his 1945 album “Shaw ‘Nuff.”

It was inspired by the chord structure of the 1920 jazz standard “Whisperings” by Paul Whiteman.
