Hallelujah, I Love Her So

Ray Charles

The unique Ray Charles performs a live version of one of his hits

By the late 1960s, Ray Charles had a long list of hits that dominated his performances.

He had first recorded “Hallelujah, I Love Her So” in the 1950s but still showed plenty of enthusiasm while singing the catchy number nearly 15 years later.

This spirited version, filmed in Paris in 1969, has Charles joined by his big band and clearly having a good time, particularly over the closing vamp which lasts nearly as long as the song itself.
