Corea talks about Tatum
who is seen in a brief clip

Back in the 1990s, Chick Corea narrated Piano Legends, a collection of vintage performances featuring top jazz pianists of the past.

On this excerpt, Corea talks a bit about the greatness of the remarkable Tatum.

He then introduces a film clip of Art Tatum (in a trio with guitarist Tiny Grimes and bassist Slam Stewart) performing “Tiny’s Exercise” in 1943.

This is one of only three films of Art Tatum known to exist.
