One of the top jazz singers of the past 15 years, Cyrille Aimée puts plenty of life, joy, and sensitivity into each of her performances.
For a cooking version of Peggy Lee’s “It’s A Good Day,” she is joined by her regular group in 2013:
acoustic guitarist Adrien Moignard (who takes an outstanding solo), electric guitarist Michael Valeanu, bassist Sam Anning, and drummer Rajiv Jayaweera.
Aimeé sounds quite at home at the fast tempo and her group recalls Django Reinhardt’s a bit, reflecting her French heritage.
