Throughout his career, guitarist-singer John Pizzarelli, while having occasional departures (including a solo guitar tribute to Pat Metheny), has mostly performed the swing standards that he loves.

Inspired early on by Nat King Cole’s vocals and repertoire along with his father guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, he has recorded a long string of consistently enjoyable albums.

John Pizzarelli is joined by pianist Konrad Paszkudzi and bassist Mike Karn on a version of “It’s Only A Paper Moon” that purposely pays tribute to the King Cole Trio’s version while also displaying its leader’s musical personality.
