Please remember our Japanese friends
in their time of great need

Hiromi played a benefit at the Falcon in Marlboro, NY last night (March 30, 2011) for relief efforts in Japan. I was there with a seat so good that if I were any closer I would have been sitting on the piano bench with her.

Amazing playing, huh?

Oscar Peterson indeed. And about sixty other piano players.

How does someone who young (this was recored before she was 30) absorb so much music and get it into her hands?

What a thrill! No wonder musicians like Chic Corea and Stanley Clark have flipped over her.
