Billy Taylor performs a piano duet with guest artist Ramsey Lewis on his 1980s TV show “Jazz Counterpoint.”
It was as a fifteen year old pianist that Ramsey Lewis would join “The Cleffs”, his first jazz band.
Later he would appropriate the group’s drummer Isaac “Redd” Holt, and bassist Eldee Young to form the “Ramsey Lewis Trio.”
