Jazz and Christmas songs have always made for an enjoyable combination; the number of jazz Xmas albums have grown quite a bit during the past two decades.

“Jingle Bells” has been recorded and performed by a countless number of jazz artists through the years with famous versions being recorded by Fats Waller, Leo Watson, and Ella Fitzgerald among others.

The Jazz At Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra led by Wynton Marsalis took their crack at “Jingle Bells” in 2016.

Utilizing the same arrangement that Count Basie had recorded in 1962, the band romps through the piece, featuring fine solos by Marsalis and one of the trombonists along with some rousing ensembles.
