This one is from Stockholm, Sweden at the legendary Swedish jazz club “The Golden Circle.”

We get a solo from Dorham’s tune “Short Story” followed by his “Sky Blue” in his entirety.

Dorham was everywhere. Much in demand by top big bands, played with Charlie Parker, he took over the trumpet slot after Clifford Brown’s tragic death and was an original member of the Jazz Messengers collective.

A musician’s musician. Thoroughly respected and admired by his peers.
