Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock transform “Malaguena” into a keyboard tour-de-force on the Merv Griffin Show from March of 1985. Chick plays an array of synths and pianos and Herbie wails on the Roland “key-tar”. Features John Patitucci on bass and Tommy Brechtlein on drums. After the song the two jazz icons receive awards from Keyboard Magazine’s Jim Crockett. Merv Griffin had over 5000 guests appear on his show from 1963-1986.
