Paco De Lucia was a world renowned flamenco guitar innovator and among Spain’s most famous musicians.

He performed publically for the first time in 1958 at age eleven and won a prize in the Jerez flamenco competition the following year.

Paco formed a duo called “Los Chiquitos de Algeciras” with his brother Pepe in 1961.

Beginning in the late 1960s Paco De Lucia strayed from traditional flamenco and began to incorporate elements from other genres, including jazz.

Paco De Lucia performs “Mediterranean Sun Dance” with friends.
