Wild Bill Davison (1906-89) was one of the most colorful of the Dixieland and trad jazz brass players.

A cornetist whose tonal distortions and emotional outbursts made most other players sound like straight men, Davison brought excitement to every bandstand on which he appeared.

This performance of Eubie Blake’s “Memories Of You” from 1982 has the 76-year old cornetist joined by pianist Al Stevens, bassist Dave Kasler, and drummer Barrett Deems
