The two trumpeters blend together beautifully
“No One Else But You” was recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1928 and then rarely played until it was revived in the late 1960s.
Trumpeters Danny Tobias and veteran Warren Vache are joined by guitarist Pat Mercuri, pianist Philip Orr, and bassist Joe Plowman for one of the best versions of the vintage song.
Tobias plays the melody and then it is great to hear Vache’s harmonies.
After the piano solo, Vache and Tobias both get to solo along with the guitarist and bassist.
The tradeoff and interplay between the two trumpeters in the latter part of the performance is a highpoint.
