Joey Alexander was still nearly two months shy of his 12th birthday at the time.
Born in Indonesia, Alexander was self-taught at six, performed at Jazz At Lincoln Center in 2014, and in 2015 (the same year as this performance) he recorded his first album, My Favorite Things.
Joey Alexander has since continued to evolve and grow; and as he entered his twenties, he was realizing his great potential.
