Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer – 2013

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

A rollicking and fun version

“Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” was co-written by country singer Gene Autry in 1949 whose recording became a major hit that year, resulting in the song becoming a standard.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, one of the best of the Retro Swing bands to pop up in the 1990s, and one of the few to survive for over 30 years, recorded and filmed their own version in 2013.

With rock and rollish riffing by the three horns (circa 1956) and a respectful but hip vocal, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy clearly has fun with the Christmas favorite.
