Penned by the skilled hand of Victor Young and later attaining prominence in the cinematic realm through its inclusion in the 1944 film “The Uninvited,” the haunting melody of “Stella by Starlight” has transcended time to solidify its status as a cherished jazz standard. Its captivating allure has since been reimagined and brought to life by a constellation of musical luminaries, including Anita O’Day, Joe Pass, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, and Billy Eckstine.

This particular rendition, a shimmering gem from the archives, is dated October 28, 1966.
