Sweet Sixteen

B.B. King

Monterey Jazz Festival, Monterey, California, 1967

Released by B.B. King and Joe Josea in 1960, “Sweet Sixteen” would reach the second-highest spot on the Billboard R&B charts. B.B. King would go on to even further cement his name in guitar history.

Only a few years after this performance, T-Bone Walker would, for his album “Good Feelin’,” claim the Best Ethnic or Traditional Folk Recording Grammy.
