The Porch Sessions – 2015

Aurora Nealand has been an important part of the New Orleans jazz scene since 2004, leading bands and contributing exciting soprano solos.

This excerpt from 2015 has Nealand and her group playing an uptempo swing tune while there are scenes of New Orleans.

The main part of the clip has Nealand leading the Royal Roses (her soprano-trumpet-acoustic guitar-banjo-drums quintet) through an uptempo Sidney Bechet song from the 1930s based on “I Got Rhythm.”

Aurora Nealand is certainly a talent well worth discovering.
