Weather Report, which was quite active during 1971-85, was one of the great fusion groups and quite influential.
The 1982 version featured Joe Zawinul on keyboards, Wayne Shorter on tenor and soprano, bassist Victor Bailey, drummer Omar Hakim, and percussionist Jose Rossy.
The group had recently recorded “Volcano For Hire”; this stirring version (with Shorter on tenor) is from the 1982 Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.
