Johnny Copeland
Copeland’s Powerful Voice
Johnny Copeland (guitar & vocals) performs for a television appearance in 1989.
Johnny Copeland formed the “Dukes of Rhythm” in Houston, Texas in 1956 and made his recording debut. He played with such greats as Sonny Boy Williamson, and Freddie King during his early years. His early recording career encompassed blues, soul, and rock and roll featuring Copeland more as a vocalist than a guitar player. It’s no wonder, what a voice!
