Miles Davis’ playing could be a bit erratic during his final years but the trumpeter’s tone sounds quite strong during these two numbers, particularly on “Mr. Pastorius.”

Kei Akagi takes an impressive solo on piano during “Mr. Pastorius” and displays his versatility on synthesizer during the fast funky groove of “Wrinkle.”

Altoist Kenny Garrett and drummer Ricky Wellman are prominent on the latter with bassists Richard Patterson and Foley (along with percussionist Erin Davis) completing the group.
