Benny Goodman leads a star-studded combo for this televised performance of “Ain’t Misbehavin'” in 1978.

Among his bandmates is Mary Lou Williams, a pianist who first rose to prominence in the 1920s. One of her early idols was stride pianist Fats Waller, who composed the standard performed in this video.
