Jazz fusion pioneer Chick Corea and Gary Burton, on the vibes, play a Chick Corea composition entitled “Bud Powell” in honor of the great pianist Bud Powell, who was a major influence on Chick’s development as a pianist when he was younger. Although Corea and Powell apparently never collaborated, Powell, like Corea, played with Miles Davis.
