During their 1965 European tour, the “Jazz Messengers” had a special live appearance on the BBC, where they performed the title track from their 1963 LP release. “Buhaina’s Delight,” composed by trombonist Curtis Fuller, was a standout piece from the group’s lineup between 1961 and 1965 and has since achieved classic status in the world of bebop.

This memorable performance by “Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers” was featured in a 1965 episode of the British jazz TV series “Jazz 625.”
