Jack Sheldon (1931-2019) was a triple threat as a trumpeter, an underrated singer, and an often outrageous comedian.

His first two skills are featured on “Day By Day,” a performance with his big band, performing an arrangement by Tom Kubis.

Sheldon, who continued to grow in power and ability as a trumpeter throughout the 1990s, is in fine form on this relaxed version.
