Bobby McFerrin is able to jump effortlessly between falsetto and bass notes, uses his intake of breath as a sound so he can improvise without any pauses, and possesses a vivid imagination (and the ability to maintain three parts at once).
Arguably the greatest and most creative a capella singer, McFerrin only needs a microphone when he performs at concerts.
This performance, which hints at the groove of “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” features Bobby McFerrin in the audience playing off of members of the crowd during his witty musical flight.
