Hush Little Baby

Bobby McFerrin

A unique group plays a joyful version of the folk song

In 1992 on a South Korean television show, four very versatile and open-minded musicians gathered together to play the folk song “Hush Little Baby.”

The remarkable Bobby McFerrin sings the words, does some wordless vocalizing and sometimes imitates a violin.

Cellist Yo-Yo Ma has his spots while violinist Mark O’Connor and bassist Edger Meyer keep the music swinging.

Personnel:

Bobby McFerrin, vocals
Yo-Yo Ma, cello
Mark O’Connor, violin
Edger Meyer, bass

– Scott Yanow
