Love Me Like A Man

Diana Krall

A straightforward version of a Bonnie Raitt blues

In 2004, singer-pianist Diana Krall was stretching out beyond swing standards, playing some more contemporary material.

On an edition of the Late Show with David Letterman from that year, she performs the assertive Bonnie Raitt blues “Love Me Like A Man.”

To her credit, Ms. Krall comes up with own take on the piece in addition to playing a good solo chorus on the piano

Guitarist Anthony Wilson is an asset in the ensembles before Krall gives the song an ending worthy of Count Basie.

Personnel:

Diana Krall, vocals, piano
Anthony Wilson, guitar
Robert Hurst, bass
Peter Erskine, drums
