A fun duet by the two masters

In 1986 and 1988, flugelhornist Clark Terry and bassist Red Mitchell recorded a pair of duet albums that are a delight.

Both players had outgoing and often-humorous personalities in addition to being masterful players.

On “Take The ‘A’ Train” after they both solo, C.T. has a musical conversation between himself on open flugelhorn and muted trumpet.

Fun and colorful music.
