Joel Ross, who is now 27, has in recent years become the leading young vibraphonist.

He has worked with such inventive artists as Nicole Mitchell, Gerald Clayton, Melissa Aldana, Walter Smith III, Joshua Redman, Brandee Younger, and Marquis Hill, both as a greatly in-demand sideman and as a leader of his own projects.

This performance of “Autumn Leaves” was made when Ross was a 19-year old student, and it features him in the spotlight throughout while being accompanied by bassist Giulio Cetto and drummer Jalon Archie.
