Jacob Collier is an intriguing artist who, by mastering the use of electronics, audio-visual effects and multi-tracking in addition to the piano and his versatile singing, often puts on remarkable one-man shows and has had a wide variety of collaborations with top artists from many different genres.
While his music stretches beyond jazz, the improvising of jazz is the backbone of his music.
This clip from 2018 has Jacob Collier performing at a Disklavier piano, spontaneously recording some of his ideas which he plays off of during his imaginative version of a pop tune.
