Thelonious Monk Quartet

Monk is featured with a line up which includes saxophonist Charlie Rouse who had been playing with him for about four years at the time.

Rouse appeared on “Monk’s Dream”, Thelonious Monk’s 1963 debut release for Columbia and would remain with the group until 1970.

The “Thelonious Monk Quartet” perform live in Japan in 1963.
