Art Blakey’s “Jazz Messengers” are featured live in concert in Sanremo, Italy on March 23, 1963.

Following his time with Coltrane Reggie Workman worked closely with hard bop’s drum sensation Art Blakey, lending his innate abilities on double bass to the “Jazz Messengers” assembly.

His two years with the group beginning in 1962 would provide him musical experience unparalleled.
