Saxophonist Wayne Shorter’s composition, “On the Ginza,” made its debut on Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers’ album titled “Ugetsu.” This album took inspiration from the Messengers’ recent tour in Japan, reflected in the titles of two tracks, “Ugetsu” and “On the Ginza.”
