Bobby McFerrin

A remarkable solo performance

Bobby McFerrin in his prime was capable of creating unique performances with just his voice; no need for other instruments.

McFerrin’s wide range (from a deep baritone to a high falsetto), ability to sing nonstop (making a sound when he inhaled air) and, most of all, his fertile imagination, made him into a unique singer.

For proof of that, listen to this very spontaneous version of Chick Corea’s “Spain,” created while sitting down on stage.
