Eddy Clearwater (guitar & vocals) is featured performing at the Rawa Blues Festival in Katowice, Poland during 2006.
Best known as a participant in the Chicago blues scene of the 1950s Eddy Clearwater released his first single “Hill Billy Blues” in 1958 under the pseudonym Clear Waters. The name was a word play on the more famous Muddy Waters concocted by his manager drummer Jump Jackson. Now nicknamed ‘The Chief’ he wares Native American jewelry and on occasion a feathered headdress. The release of his album “The Chief” in 1980 secured his place within the ranks of prominent Chicago bluesmen.
